January is National Train Your Dog Month. Every January, we create New Year’s resolutions, firm decisions to do or not do something in the coming year. One of those resolutions we should take time to do is to train our furry family. Whether it is to create a wanted behavior or correct an unwanted one, the benefits to proper training of your pet are endless. Training sets your new puppy up for a life of success and happiness. What about our rescues? Most of the dogs surrendered to shelters are because of behavior issues. Well, with a little love, a lot of patience and training, you can teach an old dog new tricks.
